Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That is what I was always told. When making the move to Arizona almost 14 years ago, I had no idea what to expect except for extremely hot temperatures in the summer. My first summer here was eye-opening in many ways. We hit temps around 117 and I remember thinking “What in the actual hell have you done”!!!. However, in July of that first summer, I experienced my first monsoon. The storms build up here in Arizona and pass by very quickly. The painted sky that is usually left behind are beyond words. Since that virgin summer, I have seen some of the most magnificent storms ever. Lightning ricochets across the sky lighting up the mountains. Walls of rain sweep across the valley. Waves of dust roll in and crash down on you and quickly keep rolling along. When the storms passes over, the sky rivals any painting you have ever seen. The colors are so vivid as they peek out over the mountains. The beauty is unparalleled and breathtaking.
Welcome to my little piece of the world. I hope to blog about my life in the desert, my love of fashion and beauty and sometimes, just to release the thoughts that flow through my mind. Grab a cup of coffee and stay awhile!!!
